Last week I tried to order a zip online £ 5.95 postage for a zip! Instead I went for the sensible option of ordering 79 from the U.S, so £10 for 1 or 79 for £40, seemed like a no-brainer to me

One of my gorgeous nieces loves to dress up, she saw a pic of a hand-made princess dress from the movie Frozen that she loved. I haven’t seen this movie so am going on a few still photos so I hope I get it right
I started with a white t-shirt that I dyed pale blue because I couldn’t find a pale blue one it will have some crystals added to the sleeves
the cape part is a leftover piece of fabric from an outfit Granny wore in 2006, I will add more crystals
I then sourced some sparkle by sending a certain someone on a trip to a french market to get this
One of my aunts knitted this beautiful soft cardi which matches perfectly, can’t have a cold princess!
Today will include some sewing so I hope to have it further forward today
Home-made flapjack at the cafe today, I will be sewing some new yarn bowls and I think demonstrating casting on for toe up socks, there will also be some wedding chat, must take the magazines and introduce the bride to pinterest for some fabulous ideas, see you at 12.30
Flapjack and coffee and walnut cupcakes to have with a cuppa today AND I am wearing my new aran cardi, all finished, buttons on and everything! See you at 12.30.
Lots of knitting going on here, I finished an Owls jumper and finally finished all the pieces of my aran cardigan, this does need to be sewn up though, *sigh I hate sewing up knitting.
Next up I need to finish up the last xmas sock and have cast on a baby cardi.

Happy New Year everyone, it has been wild and wild here for the past couple of weeks, our beach has suffered massively and currently has a buoy resting on the beach, there is some speculation as to where it has come from, my Dad reckons Troon!
Back to the cafe today, there will be Blueberry Muffins and a cuppa from 12.30. I will be working on some new yarn bowls and will be checking out what everyone has done over the holidays, I hope to see lots of finished projects. Meanwhile I have a ton of fabric strewn around the house as I try to find the perfect combination for something. Hope to see you later….
This week in the café we have some knitters knitting charity teddy bears and I will be sewing some bags for them.
More alterations being done and some prep for panto costumes for the kids panto, lots of tulle and glitter
I have just taken some choc chip cookies out the oven so the whole house smells amazing, see you at 12.30

Today we will be sewing a tote bag in the 2nd part of our sewing class, there will be some knitting tuition going on too. Lime cookies are just being put in the oven, so see you at 12.30
These are our contribution to the big knit appeal for little hat for innocent juice bottles, hope we see some of them in the shops.
Last day to book a place on the beginner sewing 101, 4 weeks of two hours of tuition, all materials supplied £30. This class takes you from how to thread and operate a machine, this can be your own if you like, to inserting a zip, the finished items will be a pin cushion, sewing pouch and a small tote bag.
